Meet the Dentists
Dr. Howard Brooks is a Winthrop native who graduated from Winthrop High School. He then attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. He joined his father, Dr. Barry Brooks, who started Brooks Dental in 1959. Dr. Howard Brooks is dedicated to patients inside and outside the office, visiting young schoolchildren to teach them about the importance of dental health.
Dr. Stephanie Brooks is our third-generation dentist at Brooks Dental. After spending her childhood growing up around dentistry, she couldn’t help but carry on the family tradition of serving people’s smiles. She did her undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College and then graduated from the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at the top of her class (summa cum laude). Dr. Stephanie has a passion for working out - running, lifting weights, and doing yoga. She also loves to ski, golf, and spend time at the north shore beaches during the summer.
Dr. Julianne D. Bruno attended the University of Florida and then the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She then completed a three-year orthodontic residency at BU and a one-year clinical orthodontic fellowship at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Andrea Chung Shah is a graduate of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed her endodontic residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Before her career in dentistry, Dr. Shah was a computer engineer at Intel Corporation in California.
During her time at Harvard, Dr. Shah received the Student Achievement Award in Endodontics from the American Association of Endodontics and the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award. In addition, she received a stipend from the Paul Dudley White Traveling Fellowship from Harvard Medical School to conduct research in South Africa. Dr. Shah has also served as a reviewer for the Academy of General Dentistry and has been published in several academic journals. Dr. Shah is an affiliate of several local, state, and national dental organizations. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three young children. Together, they enjoy watching the sunrise, traveling, and skiing.
