Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry
We emphasize cosmetic dentistry, an aspect of modern dentistry allowing
us to conservatively restore your teeth back to their natural strength
and beauty. It also allows us to enhance the appearance of your smile
by closing gaps, straightening crooked teeth, lengthening worn and chipped
teeth, and whitening teeth for a more youthful, clean and healthy-looking
smile. Our goal is to make your teeth look natural and beautiful so you
can have a confident smile.

- Zoom!: To whiten your teeth,
we use the most advanced technology available, called Zoom! The process
takes about an hour, and the
results are dramatic--up to seven to nine shades whiter in less than
60 minutes.
You can go on with your day right away with a whiter, brighter smile.
-
Invisalign - The invisible way to straighten your teeth, without braces. This
is an option you may want to consider. Invisalign can give you
the beautiful straight teeth you have always wanted. It works through
a
series of invisible, removable and comfortable aligners no one
can tell you are wearing. So you can smile during treatment as well
as
after. Invisalign has been proven effective and Dr. Brooks is certified
to treat with Invisalign.

BreathRx System - All of us have
suffered from bad breath at one time or another. But it is estimated
40 million Americans suffer from bad breath that never goes away.
The medical term for this condition is halitosis. Surprisingly, most
people
with halitosis are not aware of their problem breath. That is because
our sense of smell has an amazing ability to adjust to odors. Unfortunately,
there is no cure for 90% of oral halitosis. It requires long-term
control and management of this condition. The BreathRx™ Breath
Management System was developed to make long-term treatment easy, convenient
and
effective.
Most people think bad breath is a result of what is going
on in our stomachs. But that is not the whole story. The actual odor
of halitosis is generated by bacteria thriving in the mouth under
the gums, and in the nooks and crannies on the teeth and the surface
of
the tongue. Left untreated, these bacteria create volatile sulfur
compounds that have a characteristic “rotten egg” smell. Most people
would probably like their breath to be more pleasant than that. And
this is precisely what the Breath Rx™ System is designed to do – give
you pleasant smelling breath. Come in to find out more!
- SoniCare
Elite - All power toothbrushes are not created equal: SoniCare
has patented sonic technology with bristle tips moving 3 times faster
than other leading power toothbrushes to create dynamic cleaning
action.
A SoniCare toothbrush will help you get naturally whiter teeth.
They have been clinically proven to significantly reduce coffee, tea
and
tobacco stains in just 28 days.
Preventive Dentistry and Periodontal Treatment
We believe an "ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." By
keeping your regular dental hygiene appointments, you will be taking
great steps to avoiding more extensive treatment later. As long as we
are on top of your dental health, we can continue to provide conservative
dental treatment.

Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy
- Atridox - Atridox (doxycycline hyclate) 10% is a
major advance in the treatment of periodontal disease. It is an antibiotic
gel that is placed gently into your gum pockets where bacteria thrive.
Atridox then quickly hardens to a wax-like substance, slowly releasing
the antibiotic to the infected area for seven days. Atridox takes just
minutes for your dentist to administer, and is a comfortable treatment
that does not require anesthesia. The benefits you will receive from
one simple treatment can help you achieve better gum health.
- Periostat - Periostat has been shown to help stop
the progression of periodontitis when used as an adjunct to scaling
and root planing
in
a conscientiously
applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care--American
Dental Association Council on Scientific Affairs. Periostat helps suppress
the body's overproduction of gum and tissue-destroying enzymes. It
reduces the activity of the enzymes that destroy tooth and gum tissue,
and is only available by prescription from your dentist.
- Sealants - Dental sealants act as a barrier, protecting the teeth against decay-causing
bacteria. The sealants are usually applied to the chewing surfaces
of the back teeth (premolars and molars) where decay occurs most often.
- Regular
Checkups
- Patient Education
- Nightguards or Grinding
Guards - Do you have hot/cold sensitivity on your teeth,
develop headaches in the temple area, or have jaw soreness in the morning.
A nightguard helps relieve these symptoms. It is a thin, transparent
custom-made tray, made in the shape of your dental arch, used to promote
good tooth alignment and an accurate bite relationship. This splint
is worn at night between the top and bottom teeth, absorbing the force
of grinding and clenching. Call Dr. Brooks to find out more.
Patient Comfort and Technology
Fear and anxiety are common reasons patients avoid dental care. If you
have not been to the dentist in a while, you are in for a few pleasant
surprises. Dr. Brooks makes a point of staying up-to-date with all the
latest technology in dentistry.
