Brooks Dental News: Meet our newest team member

Valerie Martins D.M.D.

We are happy to introduce Dr. Valerie Martins as a new member of the Brooks Dental Team. Dr. Martins is a native of Ukraine but has grown up in Swampscott, a north shore suburb of Boston. After graduating from Swampscott High School, Dr. Martins attended Brandeis University and graduated cum laude with a B.A.degree in Psychology and Economics. She completed her dental training and received her D.M.D. at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. She is currently pursuing her specialty degree in Periodontics at Tufts, during which she will work part time as an associate at Brooks Dental. Dr. Martins has earned numerous awards during her studies, including the Dr. Ralph Berenberg Award for health professionals and the American Academy of Periodontics Clinical Achievement Award. She was nominated for the Teaching Assistant Program at Tufts Dental School, where she was given the privilege of interviewing prospective candidates and helping first and second year students in pre-clinic. In her spare time, Dr. Martins enjoys to read, exercise, travel and spend time with family and friends. She currently resides in Medford, MA with her husband Derrick Martins, and their dog Brady.
